About James
James Mitchum Oates was born Brian Steven Curtis in Chicago, IL on Oct. 19, 1975. He, his brothers, mom, and dad moved to Kansas City, MO when he was six.
He received his high school diploma from Van Horn High School in 1994. He then went to Penn Valley Community College and received his Associate’s Degree In General Business Arts in 2004. Next he went to Park University and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice/Corrections in 2007. He is the author of multiple books. Also he is single with no children.
